Take a College Station Brewery Tour

Hot summer weather is perfect for drinking beer, as long as you’re of legal drinking age, of course.  To quench your thirst, take a College Station brewery tour at the New Republic Brewing Company.  Located at 11405 N Dowling Rd, Unit H, the New Republic Brewing Company offers a special tour of its brewery this Saturday, August 11, 2012.  From 6:30pm to 8:30pm, a guide will take you on a behind-the-scenes look at the daily activities of an Aggieland microbrewery.

New Republic Brewing Company was founded by three current and former Texas A&M students as well as one non-Aggie outsider. Their love of good beer brought them together a few years ago.  Their German and English inspiration can be tasted in the Bellows Texas Amber Ale and Skylight Dunkelwiezen they brew and serve.  For just $6, you will receive a New Republic pint glass that you can refill for a full dose of microbrewery goodness.  When you bring your glass back with you in the future, you can take the tour again for just $5 (and two more complimentary fills).  Designated drivers can get in on the fun as well.  They will get free admission to the tour as well as complimentary homemade candy.

Cool off from the summer heat.  Take a College Station brewery tour.  See how these local microbrews are made, taste it for yourself and, if you join their TAbc (Texas Aggieland brew club), you can even learn how to make your own brews at home.  Visit and support New Republic Brewing Company, College Station’s local microbrewery, this weekend.
